Andrew Johnson "Uncle Pete" Orr Sr., 1622 West Vinita, died at 12:30 pm Tuesday at the home. He had been in failing health since 1956. A retired carpenter, he came to Sulphur in the early 1900's. Born in Eliasville, Texas,
Sept. 13, 1872, he was married to Martha Walter in Sulphur April 7, 1918. Mr Orr was a member of Vinita Avenue Church of Christ.
Surviving are the wife, Martha; two daughters, Mrs Eva Hicks, San Bernardino, Calif., and Mrs Ruby Scott, Sulphur; a son, A.J. Orr, Jr., Oklahoma City; six grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2:30 pm Thursday in the Bahner Funeral Home Chapel, with W.L. Donaho officiating. Interment will be in Oaklawn Cemetery.
