Notes for IRA BOYLES BRIGHT, M. D.:
From Ella Giddens Burnett at Alton [email protected]:
" The Odd Fellow Cemetery in Greenwood is located in the east part of town which has grown out past it. Near the gate was a big pretty tombstone, the name Bright was on the East side of and the Bacon on the west. Fleta Taylor Bright born 1876 died 1950 and her husband Dr. Ira Broyles Bright born 1860 died 1929. Dr. Ira Broyles Bright Jr. born Dec 27, 1906 and died Jan. 21, 1976; and his first wife Mildred Durrett Bright born Sept. 16, 1906, and died June 17, 1963. His second wife was still alive in 1980 and lived in Greenwood.
You know that is a big beautiful head stone with the Brights and Bacons on each side of it. Those two couples were real close and ran around together. I have a picture of them together and one or two of their children."
