Mrs. Woods was born on January 11, 1919 in West Salem, the daughter of Ralph Frank and Dora Olga (Maas) Voigt. She married Cecil Woods on April 28, 1939 in Owensboro, Ky. He preceded her in death on December 3, 1999.
She was employed at Bodnar's Poultry House and Champion Laboratories. She was a member of Moravian Church in West Salem. Her hobbies and interests included flowers and gardening, bird watching and quilting. She loved all areas of music and was organist for Moravian Church for 27 years. She loved cooking and reading and creating beautiful memories with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed camping and traveling with her dear husband of 60 years. Mrs. Woods was one of the first five employees to begin work with Champion Laboratories.
Mrs. Woods is survived by three children, Karen Tarpley and her husband, Bill of West Salem, Virginia Snyder and her husband, Bill of West Salem and Jack V. Woods and his wife, Debbie of Olney; a sister, Frances B. Rose of Olney; and 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and three children, Tommy Joe, Madeline Kay and Martha Jean.
