* Rosario came to America in 1889 with his first wife, Lillia and sold bananas in Brooklyn. His daughter Teresa was born when they arrived, but his wife Lillia died a few years later.
* Rosario returned to Italy to find his second wife, Josephina "Fina". They went to New Orleans and she is with him in this picture, along with his grandson Julius, in 1920.
* Rosario was a farmer in the Carrollton area of New Orleans, in the early 1900s, and lived on Fig Street. He sold his vegetables at the French Market.
* Rosario and Lillia are the parents of five children:
Biaggio, who used the name Charley Centanni and moved to Alabama.
** Rosario, who changed his name to Ross Centanne, and moved to Gary, Indiana.
** Salvatore, who went by Sam Centanni,and also moved to Gary Indiana.
** Teresa, who died in Carrollton in January 1921, shortly after her baby drowned and a week before Rosario died.
** Marietta, who went back to Italy and stayed and married Mr. Colagiani
