Ollie was the son of Ollie Leon Wallace, Sr. and Mary Jean HARVEY Wallace.
Ollie L. Wallace married Norma Jean Stevens 9 Sept 1950 in Charleston, Tallahatchie, Mississippi. They were blessed with twin daughters and a son.
Ollie was a tall, handsome, easy-going and all-a-round nice man whom everyone liked.
Ollie is loved and missed by his family and friends.

Ollie L. Wallace, 76, of Gulfport, MS, died on Wednesday, September 10, 2003 in Biloxi. He was a native of Charleston, MS and a resident of the Coast for 37 years. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a member of Cowan Road Baptist Church and the Great Southern Club where he had many golfing buddies. He worked at various Veterans Administration hospitals for 30 years before retiring in 1982.
Ollie was preceded in death by his parents, Ollie Wallace, Sr. and Mary Jean Harvey Wallace. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Norma Jean Stevens Wallace of Gulfport; two daughters, Fay Wallace Bates and her husband Ronnie Bates of Roswell, GA and Gay Wallace Smith of Ocean Springs; one son, Ollie Leon Wallace, III and his wife, Judy McGuire Wallace of Columbus, GA; one brother, Bill Wallace and his wife Veta of Bear Creek, AL and their two sons, Kevin and Scott also survive him. He was a loving grandfather to six grandchildren, Kirk Smith and his wife Mickie Moran Smith, Natalie Smith, Beverly Bates, Betsy Bates, Steve Wallace and Ben Wallace. He also leaves behind many other loving and caring family members and friends. He had a great love for his family, friends, golf and gospel music.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2003 from 6 to 9pm at Riemann Funeral Home, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi, with funeral services at 10:00am on Friday, September 12, 2003 in the funeral home chapel. Burial services will follow at the Biloxi VA National Cemetery. The family requests memorials in Ollie's name to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, in care of Memorial/Honor Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. The Biloxi Chapel of Riemann Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

I've know Ollie since he was a teenager and later he married my first cousin, Norma Jean.
