David was a farmer. He married Zilpha Ranard of North Carolina, daughter of James H. Ranard and Frances (Fanny) A. Brittain. They were married on Oct. 11, 1863 in Petaluma, CA and they had six children. In addition to those listed in the family links, they had a son, Orrin Ranard Fellows 1876-1963.

FELLOWS--- Died, March 22nd, 1914, in Modesto, California, D. S. Fellows, aged 79 years and a native of New Hampshire.

The deceased was one of the pioneers of this state and locality, coming to the state in the early 1850's, and to this locality 20 years later, a few miles northeast of Hanford, where he lived until 10 years ago, when he sold his ranch and moved to Modesto, which has since been his home.

He is survived by 3 sons, Herbert, Orrin and Charles Fellows, and a daughter, Mrs. Jesse Hackett, all residents of Modesto. He was a good citizen and neighbor.
