GEORGE EVERETT CASSABAUM RITES

George Everett Cassabaum was born April 10, 1912 at his place of life residence and died January 30, 1975 at Mercy Hospital after a lingering illness. He was the son of Lee and Mabel Cassabaum who preceded him in death.

He married Verlee Reid, January 25, 1933 at Morning Sun by Rev. John Grimm.

Survivors include his wife; five children; sixteen grandchildren and one great grandchild. The children are Reid of West Liberty, Larry of West Branch, Margaret Kunkel of Solon, Gwendolyn Enke of Phoenix, Arizona, and Eugene of Columbus Junction. Other survivors include two brothers, Howard of Mediapolis and Arthur of Columbus City.

Preceding him in death included one dauther, Twyla and one sister, Irene Holmes.

Services were held Saturday, February 1st at Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Rev. Vernon Bundy officiated, with Donna Belle Hughes as organist. Interment was at Columbus City Cemetery.

Casket bearers were John Briggs, Gary Reid, Ralph Reid, Robert Cassabaum, Dean Stagner and Junior Briggs
