Teresa Ann Brown Hudson, 59, of Georgia Avenue, Waynesboro, passed away on Monday, May 9, 2011, at the University of Virginia Medical Center.
She was born on June 27, 1951, in Waynesboro, Virginia, a daughter of the late Emil A. Brown and Hazel Margaret Craft Brown. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Anthony Brown.
An LPN, Teresa worked at the former District Home, and later at Augusta Medical Center. She was selfless, and loved helping people. She did arts and crafts of all kinds, and was a bowler.
She loved dirt racing, and NASCAR, but mostly spending time with her grandchildren.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of nearly 42 years, Lewis M. Hudson; two sons: Lewis M. Hudson II and his wife, Bridgett, and William A. Hawkins, all of Waynesboro; two granddaughters, Blair and Isabella; a grandson, Ringo; two sisters, Gloria Ashby and her husband, W.C., and Paula Lowry and her husband, George, all of Waynesboro; two brothers, Butch Brown of Waynesboro, Timmy Brown and his wife, Alice, of Mount Sidney; a sister-in-law, Carol Brown of Verona; many special nieces and nephews; and special friend, Patsy Ramsey of Harriston.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday, May 13, 2011, at St. John's Catholic Church by Monsignor Cassin. Interment will follow at Augusta Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday, May 12, 2011, at McDow Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
