BURGHILL - Mrs. John Weeks, 68, for the past 20 years a highly regarded citizen of Hartford, died at a quarter of an hour past midnight at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Milo (Mary) Newell, here, where she had been staying for the past five months. Mrs. Weeks had been ill of complications for some time and for the last 26 weeks was confined to her bed.

Jennie Ellwood Weeks was born in England Dec. 23, 1870, the daughter of Michael and Mary Cummings Ellwood. Before coming to Hartford she lived in Warren.

Mrs. Weeks was noted for her untiring industry and for her devotion to her family and home. She leaves her husband, John; two daughters, Mrs. Newell, as above, and Mrs. Edward Frolich, Greenville, Pa.; three sons, Stewart of Cortland, Jack, Youngstown SE, Warren, Raymond of Sharpsville, Pa.; and eight grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. John Waters and Mrs. Patrick O'Malley, Niles; four brothers, Thomas, Michael and Jack Ellwood of Niles, and Patrick Ellwood of Baltimore, Md.
