Marjorie Eileen Minnick, 85, of Mount Storm, WV, died Sunday, April 3, 2011 at the Heartland of Keyser Nursing Home.

Born on October 23, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Alma Ross and Helen (Anderson) Hanlin. She also was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Ernest "Boots" Minnick on February 28, 1999 and by two sisters, Mildred Coleman and Rosalie "Pete" Flesher.

Mrs. Minnick along with her late husband, owned and operated Minnick's Grocery Store and Amoco in Mount Storm until their retirement in 1987. She was a member of the Mount Storm United Methodist Church where she was a member of the chancel choir for many years. She served as a 4-H leader for many years and was one of the original charter members of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Mount Storm Volunteer Fire Department. She loved music and singing and was an avid reader.

Surviving are her children, Randy Minnick and wife Kathy and Kathy Pacella and husband Paul, all of Mount Storm; one brother, Larry Hanlin and wife Beverly of Fork Union, VA; three sisters, Wanda Clark of Mount Storm, Wilda Beckwith of Lusby, MD and Lois Luffey and husband Charles of Lexington Park, MD; five grandchildren, Meredith Idleman and Corey VanMeter of Mount Storm, Travis Minnick of Elk Garden, WV, Ashley Lambka of Mount Storm and Jordan Pacella of Morgantown, WV and five great-grandchildren.

Friends were received at the Mount Storm United Methodist Church on Friday, April 8, 2011 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m.

Funeral services were conducted at the Mount Storm United Methodist Church on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. John Wolfe and Mr. James Collette officiating.

Interment was in the Mount Storm Cemetery.

The Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

To honor Eileen's love of reading, the family requests that memorial contributions be directed to the Friends of the Allegheny Mt. Top Public Library, P.O. Box 161 Mount Storm, WV 26739.
