She was born to William and Shirley Aalbertsberg in Mount Clemens. She was a 1968 graduate of Utica High School. After graduating, she started working for Firestone Manufacturing. She then worked for Hamill Manufacturing and for TRW in Washington Township until the plant closed. After that, she then worked for Automotive Composites in Sterling Heights for eight years. She enjoyed spending time at her family's cottage in Port Austin and being with her dog, Precious.
She was predeceased by her father, William Aalbertsberg.
