-------
Uncle George W. Gabbard, an old soldier in the Civil War, passed from this earth last Wednesday. He had been ill for only a few weeks and had confessed his willingness to die and meet his God.
Funeral services were held at the old Gabbard burying ground Thursday afternoon by the Rev. Cordell Roberts and John Mason. Brother Issac Gabbard and Bill McIntosh each gave a beautiful talk.
