Charles Ray Ferguson, a resident of Covington, LA for the past 28 years and husband of 53 years to the former Mary Alice Smith of Decatur, GA, died on Tuesday, February 21, 2006 in Covington, LA at the age of 77.
Father of Carol Ann Bertucci; Carlton Lee Ferguson, Mary Gayle Adams and Lynda Elizabeth Richardson. Grandfather of T. J. Mawhinney, Ashley Triplett, Emily Triplett, Matt Richardson, Andrew Adams, Katie Adams, Christopher Bertucci, Philip Bertucci, David Bertucci, Lucy Bertucci, Charles (Chip) Ferguson and Christie Ferguson. A native Atlantan, he was a graduate of Fulton High School and Clemson A. & M. He was a First Lt. Tank commander with the 72nd Tank Battalion during the Korean War and was Southern Sales Manager for Archer Daniels Midland.
Funeral services will be held at A. S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home in Decatur, GA at 1:00 pm Saturday, February 25, 2006, with interment in Decatur Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to St. Tammany Parrish Humane Society 20384 Harrison Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 A. S. Turner & Sons.
