Winnie Mae Roberson, 92, 2401-01 Harding, died Thursday at Lakeview Christian Home, North Gate Unit.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Denton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Stanley White, a retired Baptist Minister, and the Rev. Willard Bone of Gospel Assembly Church officiating.
Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Memorial Park. Pallbearers are Robert Koenig, Andy Roberson, Dale Hughes, Melvin Clifton, Charles Goodwin and Woodie Hughes.
Mrs. Roberson was born on Feb. 13, 1899, in Ranger, Texas, and grew up in Hill County, Texas.
She married W.A. Roberson in Strawn, Texas, when she was 16 years old. They came to Carlsbad in June 1940. Mr. Roberson died in 1962.
She was a homemaker and a member of Standpipe Baptist Church where she worked in the church nursery.
She is survived by one son, Bobby Gene Roberson, Carlsbad; one daughter, Ina Dale (Mrs. Arvil) Reynolds, Artesia; eight grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
