Services Held for H. R. Reed
REDMOND--Funeral services were held this afternoon for Henry Ruffus Reed, 74 of Mitchell, who died Saturday morning in Central Oregon district hospital. Mr. Reed had been critically injured in an automobile accident Friday evening on the Warm Springs highway.
His wife Victoria survives him, as well as sisters Mrs. Bessie Hall and Mrs. Emma Johnson, and a brother, Madison Reed all of Portland. He also left several nieces and nephews.
Rev. D. L. Penhollow conducted the services at the Redmond Christian church. Cremation is to be held Tuesday morning at the Portland Memorial.
Mr. Reed was a foreman mechanic at Mitchell Pine Lumber Co. He was born July 4, 1880 in Nebraska.
