Raymond P Meyer, age 86, of Reedsburg, died Thursday, May 12, 2011 at the Reedsburg Area Medical cneter. He was born on march 10, 1925 in Reedsburg, the son of Paul and Elsa (Hasz) Meyer.

On August 25, 1945 he was married to Arline Westphall at St John Lutheran Church Parsonage in Loganville. Together they owned and operated Ray Meyer Sales and Service Company in Loganville for over 43 years.

Raymond proudly served his country during World War II. His commitment to the Lord was evident by his membership at St Paul's Lutheran Church in Hillpoint, a Sunday school teacher there for 10 years, and served as an elder and chairman of the congregation.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Arline on June 15, 2008; and a sister, Erna in infancy.

Raymond is survived by his brother, Marvin Meyer, Reedsburg; sisters, Delores Meyer of Reedsburg, Alice Adams of Reedsburg, Helen (James) Stoughtenger of New Lisbon, Elaine (Max) Stageman of Beloit and Margaret (Jerry) Christerson of Tennessee; brother-in-law, Donald (Arlene) Westphal of Hillpoint; special friend, Louise Krueger of Loganville; many nieces and nephews, along with other relatives and friends.

Burial will be in St Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Hillpoint.
