Clarice A. (Schooley) Masser, 68, Allenwood

ALLENWOOD — Clarice A. (Schooley) Masser, 68, of Poplar Avenue, passed away at her home on Thursday, May 12, 2011, surrounded by her family after suffering from endometrial cancer.
She was born Sept. 24, 1942 near Allenwood, the daughter of the late W. Harold Schooley and Luella E. (Ward) Schooley Hile. On Sept.22, 1962 she married Walter C. Masser, and they celebrated 48 years of marriage.
Clarice was an active member of Watsontown Baptist Church since 1960 and had served on the social committee there.
She was a devoted wife and mother and passionately cared for her family and her home. She was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed the outdoors, especially when camping, fishing, or working in her flower gardens.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Edward W. and Karen Masser, of Montgomery, and Arthur E. and Karen Masser, of Allenwood; a daughter, Kimberly A. Masser and her fiance, Paul H. Auslander, of Orlando, Fla.; four grandchildren, Alyson, Zachary and Anthony Masser, and Angelica Dolley; twin great-grandsons; a brother, William H. Schooley, of Allenwood; and her step-father, Arthur W. Hile, of Allenwood.
Friends are invited to call from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, May 21 at Watsontown Baptist Church, 501 Main Street, Watsontown, with the funeral following at 10 with her pastor, the Rev. James R. Ritter, officiating.
Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery.
Arrangements are entrusted to Brooks Funeral Home, Watsontown.
