On Jan. 2, 2011, Betty Ora (Thompson) Booth, surrounded by her family, went home to Heaven. She re-joined her husband of 63 years, James, who went before her by six days on Dec. 27, 2010.

Born June 6, 1928 to George and Hazel (Gainer) Thompson in Barbour County, W.Va., Betty was also preceded by parents; son, Lewis Ray; grandson, David Wade Booth; brothers, John Ersel and George Junior Thompson; and sisters, Dorothy Potts and Wanda (Rosalie) Knecht. Surviving are children, Phillip (Dale) Booth, Cheryl Edwards, Janet Booth (Brian) Tirbovich, Deborah (Carl) Tenney, and Paula (Michael) Brannon; 11 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren; and brother, Lloyd (Rosalie) Thompson.
