James B. Milligan, 2729 Warm Springs Road, Huntingdon, was pronounced dead on arrival at J.C.Blair Memorial Hospital at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, August 15, 1970. He was 60. Milligan, who had a marked allergy to beestings, was stung by a bee while he was mowing the lawn at his cottage at the Raystown Dam area. He suffered a heart seizure. The deceased was born February 28, 1910, at Wilkinsburg, a son of Bruce and Estella L. (Hoffman) Milligan. He was united in marriage to Cleta Donaldson August 14, 1968 in Winchester. Surviving are his wife and one daughter, Stella Louise Milligan of Florida. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was of the Protestant faith. A W.W. II veteran, Milligan served with the U.S. Army. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, local 8, State College. For the past ten years he had been employed as a receiving room steward at the Pennsylvania State University, College of Human Development, University Park. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, August 19, at 10:30 a.m. at the Peters Funeral Home. The Rev. Edward J. Hatchner will officiate. Interment will be made in Huntingdon Memorial Gardens, Huntingdon, R.D. 1. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Tuesday until the hour of the services on Wednesday.
