Transcription in part from the Dayton Daily News for Saturday October 6, 1934

Mr. and Mrs. Delno Munn, were in serious condition in St. Elizabeth Hospital Saturday suffering internal injuries received in the train-auto crash which took the life of their 3 year old son, Durrell Dean. Thrown through a window of the auto, the child suffered a fractured skull. Mr. Munn suffered internal injuries and a fractured knee. His wife, Louise, suffered internal injuries and servere cuts on her chest.
Mr. and Mrs. Munn were returning to their home after spending the evening with relatives.
The accident happened at 9:30 p.m. Durrell Dean was the only child.

The parents were not expected to survive and the child's funeral was arranged by the maternal grandparents. By the time the parents were released the funeral had already taken place.
