Lela Thompson Baldesweiler passed away, 5/11/2011, at a nursing home in Mansfield, Texas. She was born on 5/28/1932, in Jamesburg, NJ. She was just 17 days shy of her 79th birthday. She was married to the late Anton Baldesweiler. Anton passed away in 1971 at a very early age. Lela is survived by one daughter, Beth Humphries.

She was an active member of the Laguna Vista Neighborhood Watch program in Grapevine, Texas and lived in that City for over 30 years. Lela was a loyal employee for the Boy Scouts of America for 20 years. She also worked, approximately, 10 years for GTE(now Verizon) and ending her working career as an employee for Dillard's Department Stores.

Some of the fondest memories of her neighbors are; Lela walking her dog and visiting along the way. She had a contagious smile and friendly manners. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

There will be a memorial service held in Lela's honor at 2:00pm, Friday, June 10, 2011 at the Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home and Memorial Park in Colleyville, Tarrant County, Texas
