Kenneth Middaugh, 85, resident of United Towers Apartments, Chambersburg, and formerly of 6006 Hollywood Avenue, St. Thomas, Pa., died on Monday, July 3, 2006, in the Chambersburg Hospital.

Born on May 18, 1921 in N.Y., he was a son of the late Roland Harris Middaugh and Adda May Brown Middaugh.

Ken was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army Air Corps. A mechanical engineer, he graduated from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wis. He retired from Letterkenny Army Depot, and he had also worked for Douglas Aircraft. He was a member of St. Thomas Lutheran Church, and Detrich-Brechbill American Legion Post 612 in St. Thomas.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret E. "Mickey" Froehlich Middaugh; one son, Ronald Middaugh (and wife Loretta) of Laurel, Md.; three daughters, Barbara Barclay of Olympia, Wash., Sharon Ferry (and husband Frank III) of Tujunga, Calif., and Kathleen Middaugh Shockey (and husband Michael) of Greencastle, Pa.; one sister, Geraldine Kukuk, and one brother, Robert Middaugh, both of Hurley, N.Y.; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Rev. Walter Middaugh and Donald Middaugh; and one grandson, Robert J. Middaugh.

Burial will be Saturday, July 8, in the Parklawns Memorial Gardens.
