Squire Benjamin Saunders will take
Place. the public, including friends
Of the family and strangers who may
Desire to pay the tribute of respect
To an old resident,will assemble at
Trinity (Episcopal)church.The Independent
Order of Odd Fellows will conduct the
Funeral,and members will turn out in force.

Another old resident Gone-This morning"s
Gazette will bear the sad news to many friends
In Allen County of the decease of another of
Its old settlers Benjamin Saunders,long and
Favorably known as one of the justices of
Allen county,died at his residence in this
City on yesterday at the advance age of three
Score.Squire Saunders came to New York from
England in 1833 and from there to Fort Wayne
In 1836,since which time he was a resident
Respected and esteemed by all with whom he
Came in contact,Many years ago he united
With some of our prominent citizens in
Establishing Fort Wayne lodge No.14 I.O.O.F.
and has honorably maintained his connection
with that lodge till his decense.He was the
Last surviving charter member of that lodge.
In May last Squire Saunders paid a visit
to his cousin Thomas Pritchard of Vancouver's
Island and in three days there-after was
Prostrated by a paralytic stroke. in a short
Time he recovered sufficiently to return
Home,but yesterday a second attack completed
the years of his life and is now gathered to
His fathers.
