Edith Mae Pangle, 87, of Etowah, died Saturday, May 14, 2011, at Woods Memorial Hospital.

A native of McMinn County, she was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert D Pangle; infant son, Scott; Daughter, Pamela Pangle; Parents, Thomas and Liza Lockhart; sister, Lillian Watson.

Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Dianne and Jerry Sanford of Etowah, Sally and Jimmy Williams of Etowah, Becky and Tommy Carmichael of Clinton; Grandchildren, Alicia Davis, Jimmy and Russ Williams, Shannon and Tony Rayburn, Chad and Kara Carmichael, Cindy and Eddy Robinson; great-grandchildren, Chance, Ryne and Carson Rayburn, Tyler Williams, Tashena Williams, Chloe and Evan Carmichael and Reece Robinson; great-great-grand-child, Skylar Graham Sisters, Virginia Smith, Buelah Melton, Pauline Castell, and Mildred Patterson.

Family and Friends will assemble Sunday, May 15, 2011 at Cochran Cemetery for a 2 p.m. Graveside service, with Pastor Aaron Pierce officiating.
