Born May 5, 1930, in Lafayette, he was the son of the late Lawrence I. and Sarah E. Williams Mullendore.
He married Lorena Elizabeth Rose Tyrie in Lafayette on Jan. 28, 1951. She died July 20, 2007.
Mr. Mullendore served in the Korean War. He owned Trop-Aquarium in Lafayette in the 1960s and retired from the extrusion department at Alcoa as a press operator in 1993.
He was a member of Delphi Wesleyan Church and Alcoa 25-Year Club. He enjoyed tropical fish, raising birds, the outdoors, working on small engines and shooting guns with his son-in-law and grandson.
Surviving are a son, Chuck Mullendore (wife: Tammy) of Burrows; two daughters, Janet Schroeder (husband: Bill) of Delphi and Susan Mohler (husband: Mark) of Billings, Mont.; an adopted son, David M. O'Neill of Fort Atkinson, Wis.; and a sister, Renee Smith of Lafayette.
Also surviving 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by a son, Mark; a grandson, Scott; 2 brothers; a sister; and his stepmother, Lillian.
Visitation Monday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Davidson Funeral Home. Service at the funeral home 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 17, 2011, Pastor Dan Fisher officiating. Interment Masonic Cemetery, Delphi. Military graveside rites by the Delphi and Camden American Legions and Delphi VFW.
