Edward Franklin Myers, of Annapolis died 31 Mar 1941 at his home. He was born near Casey, IL. He married Myrtle Keenan on 3 Aug 1898. Ed came here at the age of two years and spent his life here. He was known for being a friend and fair in his dealings.
Survivors include his wife; sons Virgil of Detroit, MI and Ralph of Robinson; brother Elmer Myers of Oblong; sister Mrs. Lana Kurtz of Los Angeles, CA; half brothers George Smith of Springfield and Roe Smith; half-sisters Mrs. Edna Dunham of Tyler, TX and Mrs. Myrtle Newlin of Annapolis; and four grandchildren. Preceding death were two children Gladys Irene who died in infancy and Carroll Dean who died in 1935 at age 31 years.
