Private family graveside services, officiated by Pastor Robert Holmes, will be held in Greenwood Cemetery, Petoskey.
Mr. McMullen was born Feb. 18, 1895, in Petoskey. He attended Petoskey schools and graduated from Petoskey High School in 1915.
He then worked for at the post office in Petoskey for 41 years, retiring in 1915.
Mr. McMullen married the former Thelma Milford in Petoskey on Oct. 31, 1929, She preceded him in death on Jan. 10, 1976.
Mr. McMullen was a veteran of World War I, serving in the U.S. Army in France.
He is survived by: one son, Robert McMullen of Cheboygan; three daughters, Mrs. Lois Gill and Mrs. Joan Johnson, both of Petoskey and Mrs. Susan Brown of DesPlains, Ill., 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, Lenora and Paul Hosman of Detroit; two sisters-in-law, Nesttie McMullen of Petoskey and Marion ROSS of Chicago, Ill.
The family suggests memorials to the Hospice of Petoskey. Envelopes for that purpose are available at the Stone Funeral Home, Petoskey. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
