Gearld D. Amos of Independence, Oregon passed away October 11, 2008 at the age of 86.

Gearld was born February 20, 1922 in Catoosa, Oklahoma to James and Lorene Amos. Moved to California at the age of 5. Graduating from High School in San Bernardino.

In 1952 he married Angelina "Angie" M. Tognoli.

Gearld worked at a logger later moving into construction. The last 25 years he worked in Apartment Management as a maintence man. He was a member of the Monmouth Senor Center. Gearld loved to play pool and pinochle. He also enjoyed traveling, fishing, crabbing and camping.

Survivors include is wife Angie Amos of Independence, Oregon. Daughter; Tina Davis of Salem, Oregon, Son; Louis (and wife Jennie) Amos of Salem, Oregon, Daughter; Edee (and husband Robin) Padgett of Westwood, California, Sister; Onita Hackney of Lubbock, Texas, brother; Bobby Amos of Colfax, North Carolina. 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Memorial Service will be 12:00p.m. Saturday October 18th at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Independence.
