===========================================

John died of cancer. He was my family's next door neighbor for over forty years.

I spent a great deal of my youthful energy doing everything possible to aggravate and irritate this fellow. My older brother told me stories of the pranks he had pulled on him, and I was just trying to be like my big brother.

When John was dying of cancer, I made my apologies to him for all the pranks I had pulled as a boy. So I am happy to say that he & I finally "buried the hatchet".
