In the death of John A Boyd Morgan county loses another most valuable citizen.

The deceased was born in Kincarden, Canada, April 1856, the oldest of a family of 10 children, four sisters and five brothers still living. His father died in 1893 and his mother is still living at the age of 76. December 1881 he was married to Miss Leona Hudson to which union one girl and five boys were born. He came to Colorado in 1885, locating near Snyder, where he became a very prosperous farmer.

His death came as a sudden shock to his family and friends. He took to his bed a week ago Sunday and last Monday morning passed away from the effects of uric poisoning.

The funeral services were held at Snyder school house at 10 a.m. yesterday. Rev Albert Shepard of Hillrose, delivering the sermon and interment was in Brush cemetery.

The deceased was a christian man, a true husband, an indulgent father and a kind neighbor. Besides a devoted wife, he leaves a daughter and four sons, to whom is extended the sympathy of the family's many friends in their hour of sorrow.
