She was the daughter of Perez Marsh and she was married at Dalton, Massachusetts on November 8, 1791 to Capt. William Henry Mellen, a boat captain on the Hudson River when he lived in Hudson, New York and had a Hudson-to-New York City steamship run. She outlived her husband and she lived to be 78 years old. She had about ten children and was probably living with one of them when she died at Brooklyn, Kings County, New York.
