MRS. WILLIAM F. MILLIKEN

OLDTOWN - Mrs. Abbie Cooper Milliken, 100, died at home, 14 Oak St., Nov. 11, 1976. Born in Old Town June 21, 1876, daughter of William Ames and Laura Augusta Cooper. A graduate of Old Town High School and Westbrook Seminary. She was well known in musical circles, having taught piano for over 50 years. She had been a member of the Universalist Church of Old Town and the Neeburban Club. She studied with Frederick Merrner at the Bangor Piano School and later continued her studies in Washington, D.C. She is survived by two sons, William F. Jr. of Williamsville, N.Y. and Cooper of Old Town; three grandchildren, Douglas, Peter and Ann Milliken of Williamsville, N.Y.; two nieces, Ruth E. Waterhouse of Old Town and Bernice Breck of Portland; one nephew, Frank C. Waterhouse of Melrose, Mass. A memorial service will be held at home, 14 Oak Street, on Sunday, at 3 p.m., the Rev. Normand McPherson officiating.
