Mrs. Anna Mae Althoff, 79, Fairfield R2, died at the Warner Hospital here Sunday evening. She had been in ill health for some time.
A native of Liberty Twp., she was twice married. Her first husband, Clement Wormley, died in 1918. Her second husband, Jacob Althoff, died in 1962.
She was the daughter of the late John H Kugler and Margaret Linn Kugler and was a school teacher for 35 years, serving as a teacher at Big Pool, Md.; Valley School, Fairfield R1; Lower Tract School,
Fairfield R2; Mummert's School near East Berlin; McCleary's School in Freedom Twp., Gettysburg R2, and was a teacher for 15 years at Zullinger's, Waynesboro RD. She also taught for several years at Hooversville, Waynesboro, RD.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Fairfield, and of the National Council of Catholic Women.
Surviving are two sons, Clarence Wormley, Gettysburg, and Robert Wormley, Emmitsburg,
nine grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Alice Weisharr, Bonneauville, and
two brothers, Walter Kugler, Fairfield R2, and Clarence Kugler, Harrisburg.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning with meeting at the Wilson Funeral Home, Fairfield, at 9:30 to go to ST. Mary's Catholic Church, Fairfield, for the requiem Mass at 10:00 at which
Rev. Fr. Charles Procopio will officiate. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Fairfield.
