Benjamin F Gallagher, 78, Colonial Hotel, Hanover, died at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Bange Convalescent Home, Iron Ridge, where he was a patient since last Saturday. Previously he was a patient at the Hanover General Hospital three weeks. He had been ill about five weeks.
He had been employed as a foreman at the Foye Farm, Hanover R2. Mr. Gallagher was a member of the Hanover Moose Lodge and the Hanover Home Association. He was a son of the late Jacob Plus and Amelia Elizabeth Wrentzel Gallagher.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Grace Wetzel Gallagher, Hotel Hanover; seven children, Clarence, Hanover R4; Mrs. George Phillips, Hanover R3; Mrs. Raymond Moore, Edgegrove; Albert E Gallagher,
East Berlin RD; Miss Ruth Gallagher, Hanover R3; Sgt. Benjamin F., Jr., Ft. Knox, Ky., and
Wilbur Gallagher, Hanover RD. One sister, Mrs. Norbert Small, Hanover R4, and 16 grandchildren
