MOKENA-Scott David Ekstrom, 46, of Mokena, IL, died Saturday, Jan. 27, 2007, at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center, Joliet, IL.
Mr. Ekstrom was born Feb. 5, 1960 in Chicago, IL. He was a member of Bricklayers Union Local #74 and Lake Will Sportsman's Club in Wilmington. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Surviving are two brothers, Daniel (Paula) of Wilmington, IL and Eric of Mokena, IL; one aunt; and four nieces; two nephews.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; mother, Carolyn Ekstrom (nee Prawueki); father, David Ekstrom; and sister, Lynn (Larry) Henderson.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Jan. 31, from 6 to 9 p.m., at Vandenberg Funeral Home in Mokena, IL. Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, Feb. 1, at 10 a.m., at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mokena.
In lieu of flowers, preferred memorial donations may be made to the Illinois Conservation Foundation Fishery Department, 1 Natural Resources Way, Springfield, IL 72702, Attn.: Kathy Wheeler.
