Minnie Josephine (Edwards) English was born September 21, 1921 in Yale, Oklahoma to parents, Albert and Maggie Edwards. When she was 13, the family moved to Canon City, Colorado, where she was living when she met her husband-to-be , Jesse Lee English. Lee and Josie were married on her, birthday, Septembr 21, 1941 and over the next eleven years produced three children, Naomi, Virgil and Alice, who gave them six grandchildren.
After 53 years of marriage, Josie died in Junction City, Oregon, on January 5, 1995
