Mrs. Mary Helen Holthouser Ferriell, who would have been 100 years old in April, died at 7 a.m. Saturday at her home at St. Francis. She had continued active about the house until recent weeks.
Mrs. Ferriell, widow of Charles Ferriell, was born April 18, 1858, a daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Hilary Holthouser of the St. Francis community, & had lived there all her life.
Surviving are a son, John Ferriell, St. Francis; a daughter, Miss Stella Ferriell, who has made her home with her mother, & a great-grandson, David Ferriell, Loretto.
The body was at Mattingly Funeral Home, Loretto, until 9 a.m. Monday when funeral services were conducted at St. Francis of Assisi Church by the pastor, Rev. John Talbott Spalding. Burial was in St. Francis Cemetery.
