Jacob Phillip Egger, boilermaker, son of Jacob Phillip Egger and Maria Franziska Gschwend, husband of Ann Galvin, father of John Eugene, Mary Frances, Jacob Phillip, Henry Joseph, Ida May, Nellie Doretha, Francis Thomas, William, Helen Amelia and Johanna Maria. Jacob came to America in 1853 from St. Gallen with his father and brother, and became a boilermaker in the shops of the Illinois Central railroad. He later moved to Paris, IL, where he worked for the New York Central RR.
