grandchildren, Alex and Taylor Johnson. Alma was born in Palmyra, NE. She was the eighth child of Herbert James and Blanche Mabel (Klinefelter) Thomson. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five brothers and one sister. Alma is survived by her sister May Lamb, brother-in-law Robert Caddy (Mary) of Lincoln, sister-in-law Frances (Caddy) Farmer Wirth of Syracuse, NE, and many nieces and nephews. Alma graduated from Palmyra High School, attended cosmetology school and opened her own business, Alma's Beauty Shop, in Syracuse. She then married. As newlyweds, she and Bill honeymooned and moved to New York City while his ship, the USS Bon Homme Richard, was commissioned. They eventually returned to Nebraska and started a family after Bill returned from World War II. Alma enjoyed gardening, sewing and baking. She was an active member of Benson Presbyterian Church, serving in the Presbyterian women's group. Alma was also a member of Dundee's Garden Club.
MEMORIAL SERVICE 10am Friday, May 20th at Benson Presbyterian Church. (5612 Corby Street, Omaha) and 3pm at Lincoln Memorial Chapel, 6800 S. 14th St. Lincoln, NE. Interment will follow immediately after this service at Lincoln Memorial Park.
