Mr. Atwell was born March 4, 1928 in Barren County, Kentucky, but moved to Florida in 1992. He is preceded in death by his wife Dorothy.
He is survived by three daughters, Martha Ralston, Donna Stone, Kim Atwell; three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, one brother and sister.
Mr. Atwell led a full life. He was a diesel mechanic supervisor and master butcher. He also enjoyed farming and refurbishing older homes. He played guitar and enjoyed traveling with Dorothy in their fifth wheeler. Mr. Atwell volunteered to serve in churches in Kentucky and Florida. He was a multifaceted handyman who always helped his neighbors and friends. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Worthy Patron of the Eastern Star, Rio Verde Chapter 131. Mr. Atwell was also a member of the Square Club in Daytona Beach.
