Charles J. Hershberger, 66, of Scottdale, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2011, in Harmon House Care Center, Mt. Pleasant. He was born Dec. 25, 1944, in Mt. Pleasant, a son of the late Charles P. and Irene V. (Petrosky) Hershberger. Chuck was self-employed and operated a lawn service in the area. He was also a veteran of the Navy. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Pletcher; two children, Jennifer Whipkey and husband, Jason, and James Hershberger; three grandchildren, Jason Jr., Johnathan and Noel; a sister, Nancy Eck; a brother, Thomas Hershberger; and his special friends, David Coles and Linda Bailey and son, Don. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, David Hershberger. Services and interment will be held privately for the family.
