Alvin J. Aldridge, 79, of Sanders, Ky., died Monday, May 16, 2011, at Green Valley Health and Rehabilitation Center in Carrollton, Ky.
He was born April 19, 1932, in Carroll County, Ky., the son of Jessie and Martha Garrett Raisor. He was a farmer. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his companion of 35 years, Joyce Snow; three daughters, Frances Marie Wentworth of Bedford, Ky., Audrey Lee Preston of Pleasureville, Ky., and Wanda Fay Banta of Bedford, Ky.; two sons, Ernest Joseph Aldridge of Bedford, Ky., and Jerry Allen Aldridge of Waddy, Ky.; 20 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three daughters, Daisy May Kay Aldridge and twin infants; his parents; one brother, James Aldridge; and one half brother, Jessie Thomas Raisor.
The funeral was at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home in Carrollton, Ky. Burial was in Worthville Cemetery in Worthville, Ky.
