Deceased Name: Obituary: Nellie Ilene Fowler Aston Together Again
Nellie Ilene Fowler Aston passed away Saturday, November 13, 1999, peacefully in her sleep at Alpine Valley Care Center in Pleasant Grove, and has joined her loving companion Theo S. Aston .
Nellie was born in Myton, Utah on December 7, 1928 to Earl Raymond and Ida Harmon Fowler. She later attended and graduated from Lincoln High School in Orem. She married Theo in Evanston, Wyoming on July 25, 1947. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Provo Temple. They shared 48 happy years together.
Nellie was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her happiest times were with her family. She was a convert to the LDS Church and served in several callings. Her favorite calling was working in the nursery. She enjoyed sewing, embroidery, crochet, and was a wonderful homemaker. Nellie was an inspiration to her family and while we mourn her loss, we rejoice in the knowledge she is with her Heavenly Father and all those who have passed on before her. She will be greatly missed by all those whose lives she touched.
Nellie is survived by six children: Linda (Frank) Rowe, Tooele; Clinton (Susan) Aston , Clinton; David (Annie) Aston , Willard; Cheryl (James) Moore, Orem; Teresa (Charles) Mills, Parkersburg, West Virginia; Michelle (Gary) Johnson, Green River, Wyoming; 24 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Theo and her son Steven.
The family would like to thank the staff of Beehive Home #1 and Alpine Valley Care Center both of Pleasant Grove.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 17, 1999 at 11 a.m. in the Olpin Family Mortuary Chapel, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove. Friends may call Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the mortuary and on Wednesday one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery
