BROWN
Phillip Wayne Brown, son of Donald L. and Janis Hixson Brown, was born July 3, 1959 in Wayne County. He lived most of his life in Chariton.
On Sept. 13, 1978 Phillip passed away at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minn. following an auto accident.
Phillip is survived by his parents; sister, Tammy, at home; his fiancee, Chris Church, of Chariton; his grandparents, Earl Brown and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Deney of Chariton; many uncles, aunts, cousins and a host of friends.
Phillip was preceded in death by a grandmother, Opal Brown, and a grandfather, Robert Hixson, both of Chariton.
Phillip graduated from Chariton High School May 18, 1973. At the time of his death he was a student at Calmar Area I school in Calmar, studying heating and plumbing.
Phillip will always be remembered because of his beautiful smile and his mature personality. Everyone was his friend, old and young alike.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, at the Fielding Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Rickard conducting. Burial was in the Chariton Cemetery.
