Son of David Madison Bloodworth and Martha Brewer. Charles married Mary "Mollie" C. Moore on January 9, 1876 in Pike Co., GA. The ceremony was performed by S.R. Warren, Justice of the Peace.

His wife, Mary, died August 26, 1935 in Graham, AL. Alabama Burial Permit states she was moved to Laurel Hill, GA. During their lives, they lived in the Victory Community.
