Death of Edward Collins
--Garrett Collins received a wire this morning, announcing the death of his brother Edward at Knoxville, Iowa at 3:00 o'clock this morning, where he had been critically ill of heart trouble for several months.
--Born in Green Bay, Wis., Sept. 4, 1880, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Carroll Collins, he came here when his father purchased the gas plant and graduated from the Marshall High School in 1900.
--Two years later he secured a position with the Consumer Power's Co. in Toronto and then worked successfully in Toronto, Rockford, Ill., Dixon, Ill., Greenville, Miss., La Crosse, Wis., and then went to Iowa where he had charge of several plants for the Central States Electric Co., which position he held at the time of his death.
--A member of the Sons of the American Revolution, Royal Arch Masons. Mr. Collins was also afflicted with the Episcopal church.
--He is survived by his wife and three sons, Robert, Edward and James, two brothers, Garrett of this city and Carroll of Los Angeles, and by his father Carroll Collins who is ill at Oaklawn hospital here.
--The burial will be in the family plot at Oakridge in this city and the time will be announced tomorrow.
