BLOOMINGTON — Ruth Wettaw, 92, Bloomington, passed away Thursday (May 19, 2011) in Bloomington.

Her graveside entombment service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Park Hill Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel, Bloomington. The Rev. Peggy Vogelsinger will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Easter Seals Timber Pointe Camp, 1505 Eastland, Bloomington Service Center, Suite 110, Bloomington, IL 61701.

Arrangements are being handled by Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington.

Ruth was born Nov. 5, 1918, in Eldorado, the daughter of Vern Joseph and Ethel Rose Seitz Gidcumb. She married Dr. John N. Wettaw on March 28, 1937. He passed away in 1969.

Surviving are one daughter, Jane (Robert) Kuchefski, Boston, Mass.; one granddaughter, Kathryn Kuchefski, Boston, Mass.; and one sister, Gene Behrens, Bunker Hill. Also surviving are her nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, John N. Wettaw Jr.; one brother; and three sisters.

Ruth was a member of Second Presbyterian Church, Bloomington.
