Donald Murice Garry
Donald Murice Garry, 85, Terre Haute died Monday afternoon March 13, 2000 in Lakeview nursing and rehabilitation center. He was an engineer but the Pennsylvania and Penn central railroads. He was born may 20th 1914, in Terre Haute two Frank Garry and Rose Hatzer Garry. His wife Marina Rose Meyer, died July 25 1991. Survivors include two daughters and son –in –law's, Mary Louise Turner and Robert Turner of Terre haute, and Donna rose Von Kannon and James Von Kannon of Macomb Illinois.; One sister Mary Lou Scott of Saint Mary's Ohio; six grandchildren, James Von Kannon and his wife Leah, David Von Kannon and his wife Shari, Don Von Kannon and his wife Debbie, John Von Kannon and his wife Shelly; Ten great Grandchildren; Special friends, Thelma Blaylark; and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his parents, and nine brothers and sisters. He was a member of Knights of Columbus 541 , Retired Railroad men's Association, Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Glenn Senior Citizen Center and had a tap dancing school in Lawrenceberg. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 am Wednesday in Seelyville, with the Rev. Anthony Spicuzza officiating. Retired Railroadmens Association memorial services are 10 am Wednesday in Callahan Funeral Home. Burial is in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is 4 to 8 pm today, with a rosary service at 7:30 pm.
