OBITUARY.
Reube Hammond was born July 13, 1890, and was buried May 29. 1917. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Hammond. The brothers and sisters that survive hirn are B. F. Hammond, John Hammond, Nettie Spelker, Ida Hearl, Emmett Hammond and Tom Hammond. Interment was made in the Cockran [sic] cemetery by Rev. R. A. Mitchell pastor of the M. E. church, South, Novelty.
Those who mourn his loss feel that death is but a victory owing to the affliction of his years! May we all live and hope that God has cared for his soul thru the tender mercies of His grace. Knowing that He marks the sparrows' fall, how much more is concern over His children. — R. A. M.
