Mineral Point Tribune and Iowa County Democrat, July 16, 1896:
Mrs. Louisa J., wife of Thos. W. Mitchell, died at her home 3 miles north of Mineral Point, Tuesday evening, July 14, after a protracted illness, aged 42 years and one month. The funeral took place from the house this Thursday afternoon, at 1 o'clock, with services at the M. E. Church in this city."
